A fun turkey!

A fun and easy turkey for the Littles! Always a plus when I can use the stash of TP rolls I've saved over the years;-)

Salt Tray

I've been wanting a salt tray for the children for a long time and finally decided I could make one easily!  I found the perfect box -- it use to hold animal sewing cards and is the perfect size.

Wanted to add a little fun so I laminated several strips of construction paper so there would be a surprise of color as they practice writing, drawing, playing.

                          

Voila!

Fingerpaint fun!

Yellow and red make.......ORANGE!

Tried to cover the Littles so their clothes stayed clean but Piper's are now in the washing machine! She even thought it looked tasty and gave the homemade fingerpaint a try!

Addie and Scarlett knew just what they wanted to do.

Chloe still trying to figure out if "Julia" is crazy! Nico got right down to business! He also decorated the back of his chair, the seat, the counter behind and just a little bit of Chloe!

Took Liam a little time to warm up to the idea but once he got going he had fun!

Absolutely worth the time it took them to dry...they look so pretty in the window!

Best thing ever for the housekeeping center - Ikea salad spinner for $2.99! Thank you Maryanne for purchasing a second one for us! You would think after 28ish years of child care I would never purchase just one of anything! :-)

Terrific Tuesday!

A few pictures from this morning. The children made "bottle collages" from strips of paper, red, white, some yarn and crimped paper. It took some fine finger work to get strips of paper in the small opening of the bottle.

Our bottles look wonderful hanging in the window. The children were thinking that a few with colored water should join them -- love it when they decide what should happen next:-)

Yarn Board

Piece of cardboard I covered in clear contact paper, red yarn already cut. We will do a variation of this all year with different colors, having the children cut the yarn, etc. Addie placed her yarn in straight lines after experimenting a bit with different ways first.

Well the good news is that my wonderful daughter and her family gave me my very own camera for Christmas! The bad news.....I don't really know how to work it! Luckily...it's pretty much point and shoot -- here are a few pictures of our Monday so far....
